On Saturday, September 17th , 11am-2pm, The North Reading Facilities Master Plan Committee and the North Reading Fire Department invite residents to visit the fire station at
152 Park Street to view current conditions and plans for a potential renovation to better meet the needs of the fire fighters and the community.
The Facilities Master Plan Committee along with architects, the fire chief and his department, town officials and the community have been working on potential renovation plans for the past
year.
Renovation plans include extending the equipment bays to adequately house modern apparatus, addition of areas to decontaminate upon returning from fire scenes, increased
dormitory space and other potential modifications.
It is anticipated that residents will be asked to consider finding schematic design for these renovations at the October 3rd Fall Annual Town Meeting.
This is an opportunity to gain an understanding of this important project.
