As Fire Chief for the Town of North Reading, I want to take the opportunity to welcome you to our website.
I have been fortunate to serve as a member of the fire department since 1998 as a Firefighter/EMT and after as Captain in 2011 and Fire Chief in June of 2019.
The North Reading Fire Department is made up of 26 dedicated professional men who provide numerous services to the community which include fire suppression, emergency medical services, fire prevention and education, response to hazard material and technical rescue incidents as well as non-emergency incidents.
North Reading Fire respond to over 2500 incidents each year out of one fire station covering over 15 square miles.
All North Reading firefighters are certified Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics who respond to over 1200 medical calls each year.
Our goal at the North Reading Fire Department is to be a pro-active department not just a reactive one.
The North Reading Fire Department is committed to service excellence and strives each day to make North Reading a safer place for our residents and visitors who live and work in our community.
