The Town of North Reading has completed it’s Hazard Mitigation Plan and is making the plan available for public review and comment, below.
A Hazard Mitigation Plan is an important component of the Town of North Reading’s ability to plan for, respond to and recover from natural and man-made disasters while also giving the Town the ability to seek relief from the Federal government, in certain situations under the Stafford Act, when a local Hazard Mitigation Plan will be required.
To seek relief under the Stafford Act, in these situations, the Town must have a current, FEMA-approved plan on file with FEMA.
