Fire Chief Don Stats and Police Chief Mark Zimmerman report that the North Reading Fire and Police Departments responded to a motor vehicle incident Wednesday night on Fieldcrest Terrace.
At 7:48 p.m. Wednesday, first responders received a 911 call reporting that a person was trapped under a motor vehicle near the corner of Fieldcrest and Hollywood terraces. Upon arrival, emergency crews discovered a person trapped under the vehicle.
North Reading firefighters used airbags to lift the vehicle and then free the victim.
The victim was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. There is no word on their condition.
The North Reading Fire and Police Departments continue to investigate the incident. They are being assisted by the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section (CARS) Unit.
