NORTH READING – Chief Don Stats is pleased to announce that the North Reading Fire Department is currently hiring emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and paramedics.
The North Reading Fire Department is a civil service department and is actively hiring trained paramedics and EMTs. The department is comprised of two ALS ambulances and responds to approximately 2,700 calls for services with 65 percent of that response being EMS related.
The Town of North Reading offers a variety of benefits including incentive pay, tuition for paramedic training programs, and more.
Trained paramedics who are offered permanent employment with the department could receive a signing bonus.
The department also has many opportunities for its members to specialize in different fields within the fire service including Hazmat, technical rescue teams, or search and rescue teams.
